Relief Applications (reliefapps.org) is a European company serving the international humanitarian and development sectors. Founded in 2014, by an IT expert and an experienced humanitarian during the Red Cross response to the Haiyan (Yolanda) typhoon in the Philippines, we provide a variety of innovative services bridging humanitarian work and cutting-edge technology to disseminate new IT tools and significantly improve the efficiency of humanitarian organizations.
We are proud to work with great partners within the United Nations, WFP, ILO, INGOs like OXFAM, Save the Children,
Action Against Hunger, and the Red Cross.
We are looking for motivated young people to join the team, bring new ideas and turn them into beautiful, yet robust tools. We believe great IT tools will change the way we help those affected by natural disasters and wars!
Mission proposée
We are looking for a full time intern, to work 8 hours daily, the internship will be done remotely, and the student will be paid 1000 euros.
Working as a Full stack Developer Intern you will be part of a multinational innovation task force, imagining and creating cutting edge solutions to change how we help those affected by disasters. You will need to take part in a full software development lifecycle. Relief Applications always develops several projects simultaneously which requires the ability to adapt to new skills & tools quickly.
You will be assisted in your work and collaborate with each sector to bring the tool to life. The main responsibilities will be to participate in the development of innovative solutions for the humanitarian sector (Python, Angular/REACT) as well as creating pilots such as bot (Azure bots) and voice tools (Alexa).
Profil recherché et exigences du poste
EDUCATION
Degree in IT/Computer Science/Engineering
SKILLS REQUIRED
Motivated developer with a passion for humanitarian development
Strong team player with can do attitude
Technical skills:
Python/ Django
Angular or REACT
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
English is mandatory. Spanish and French desired but not essential
Experience will be valued
